I have been sticking with it. On Christmas Eve we had supper at the IL's house. I was halfway through when I discovered that she had served a stuffed turkey, meaning that it had bread all through it and it was probably covered in gluten. As soon as she said, I stopped eating and gulped some immodium to slow transit time. I hate having to question everything. It gets tiring being different. I was so frustrated I ate some donut holes since I already had gluten in my system. I have since been detoxing but it takes a while.
Other holiday meals fared better. We had lobster on New Years Eve. I'm having trouble attaching the picture so if this ends up with a ton of lobster pics, I apologize. Otherwise, they are here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3770146&l=2073578647&id=666001812 .
So I have been sticking with things really well for the most part (the odd bit of potato here and there). I need to start adding back ferments. My intestines have been a mess. I have had terrible pain for days now and I know it is from my intestines getting messed up from a dose of gluten after being free from it so long. I got a little container of kefir today but I need to make my own, as well as sauerkraut. The stuff from the store is starting to get gross and the last 4 containers I've bought weren't that great. I cleared some counter space to leave things out.
I haven't weighed myself but I don't think I'm up or down but I'm happy with where I'm at. I would like to lose 100lbs this year but I won't beat myself up over it if I don't. I had that goal last year and I lost about 50lbs last year. Even half is good!
